MahfuZ is a UK part qualified actuary and member of the Institute and Faculty of actuaries in the UK and has trained with the Institute of actuaries of Japan (IAJ) through ASEA. He attended international actuarial conferences in different countries in the East and South Asia. He holds a B.Sc. (Hon’s) and M.S. in Pure Physics from the University of Dhaka. He also holds a Master Degree in Actuarial Science, and Master of Science in Financial Engineering from WorldQuant University, USA. Alongside, he is a data scientist and quant.
MahfuZ is consummate and experienced in actuarial and ancillary services. He has gained extensive experience of actuarial consulting experience in Bangladesh, advising with many of the largest gratuity and pension funds of institutional clients on actuarial, investment and risk-management matters in Bangladesh. Prior to this he was instrumental in the local life insurance market, specifically in product design and valuation assignments. He is passionately focused on leveraging his knowledge and experience for the benefit of clients in Bangladesh.
